A rare and antique 14K yellow gold Rolex manual winding dress watch from the 1930s. This early model features a rectangular case with a silver dial and domed mineral crystal. The piece reflects early Rolex design and is manually wound. No reference number is present due to the age of the watch. This watch is all original by Rolex except for the leather buckle and clasp.
Case
The yellow gold case measures 22 mm wide without the crown and 36 mm long from lug tip to tip, with a thickness of 10mm. The unusual case has elegant butterfly winged lugs and is further accented by the silver art deco inspired dial. The dial is protected by a domed mineral glass crystal with cliff side edges. The watch is not water resistant. Bezel is also made of 14k yellow gold.
Bracelet
The watch is fitted on a black leather strap with a gold plated buckle clasp. The strap is a later replacement.
Movement
The watch has a manual winding early Rolex movement, the back of the case is stamped Stonewall, most likely an early collaboration between watch maker and gold smith.
